Born and raised in Nova Scotia, the son of a mother of Scottish descent, Michael grew up immersed in Celtic culture and traditions. Scots and Irish have a remarkable tradition of "seers" and "oracles", often referred to as having 'the sight'. Michael's mother was gifted with the sight, as is Michael. From a very young age, Michael was able to tell of things before they happened. But in the Celtic culture, these things are seen normal. To this day, Michael doesn't consider his abilities to be out of the ordinary, although many of his friends and clients over the years would disagree.

The Celtic people, being tribal in nature, are very connected to the seasons and rhythms of life. Michael's clients often remark as to the uncanny accuracy of his timing of events.

The Celts were also great story tellers, an art which is not lost on Michael as a lover of the Bardic traditions. Michael weaves many stories into his readings, much to the delight of his clients who find his philosophy and understanding of life to be enriching.

Michael is Precognitive; meaning he has a specialized ability of knowing what's going to happen before it does.

As a young man, Michael was introduced to the mystical tradition of Qabalah. Noticing the connection to the Celtic philosophy of life, both being based on the study of nature, he became immersed in this tradition as well. This lead him to the study of Tarot, for which his work over more than 25 years have gained him significant recognition.

"Tarot is one of the most amazing tools for divination. It has the ability to accurately predict events, as well as give meaningful insight into the many situations of life. The teachings of Qabalah, embodied by the Tarot, are profound and beautiful. Michael's studies in Qabalah and Western Mystical Traditions led him to become a Freemason on 2001. Michael was quickly recognized for having special gifts, as well as outstanding character. This led his Lodge in Santa Monica to elect him to serve as Master in 2005 for their Centennial year, Michael considers having served as Master to be one of the greatest honors bestowed upon him in this life. In addition, he has received the 32nd degree in the Scottish Rite and is also a member of the Royal Arch.

Michael, along with his wife and fellow reader, Krista, has appeared in numerous media events. They have consulted for many different organizations, including Disney and Paramount, in addition to having a very loyal international clientele.

In 2018, Michael created and launched "Sixth Sense Society" which airs a weekly show that explores topics on metaphysics, spirituality, religion, magic, and more with experts in these fields. The show is available on YouTube, and as a podcast on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play.

Currently, Michael and Krista reside in Venice Beach CA with their rescued crow, Lily, and their rescued dove, Sister Clare.

PLEASE NOTE – Readings can be cancelled or rescheduled using the link provided in the confirmation you receive after booking your reading, or by calling Mystic Journey Bookstore at 310-399-7070. Readings that are cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled reading time will be entitled to a full refund. Readings that are rescheduled more than 24 hours before the scheduled reading time will have the payment for the reading the original time applied to the reading at the rescheduled time. Readings cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled reading time will not be entitled to any refund and the reading payment will be forfeited. Readings cannot be rescheduled less than 24 hours before the schedule reading time. Any reading that is desired to be rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled reading time will be considered cancelled and the payment for the same forfeited, and a new reading appointment, with a new payment will need to be made.
